Sarah

This makes for a nice little series. The down on the floor with the subject point of view has always been one of my favorites. BTW, that is a stocking that she is pulling off her legs with her mouth. I don't typically like to explain what's going on in a photograph, but in this case, it perhaps makes more sense with that helpful hint. If that causes this image to be a fail, then oh well. I guess I might like it more than many others– simply because I remember liking it as I shot it. That's probably not a problem that I should complain about, even if it happens often.

Close-up face-off: An instance in movies or TV shows when two people face off for an argument and the shot zooms in on one's face and then the other's. It continually switches back and forth. A shorter series of shots can be used for drama while a strangely long series of shots is usually used for comedy.

Maeve

I really dig the composition on this one. The high ceiling and a good ladder definitely helped.

"If your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough."   ~Robert Cappa
Sadly, Robert Cappa (a war photographer) died from stepping on a land mine, trying to get that last shot.

Ether

Ether lives in Brooklyn and is a vegan. Not that those two things necessarily have anything to do with each other. She occasionally visits Philadelphia, and we either do a shoot or do lunch at Harmony, the vegetarian restaurant up the street. Ether comes across as a very natural hippie chick in person, but actually has quite a few intense fetishes. We've done a couple of suspension shoots, which she loves. She used to be a cutter- that's what the marks on her legs are.

A close up and a pan out. There is often more to something than meets the eye. Sometimes a lot more...

Miera

An older image, which is why she is missing quite a few tattoos...

Ninja-Hump: When one comes up behind someone and clandestinely humps them for a short period of time, and disappears before the humpee knows what has happened... Like a ninja.

Jade Vixen

I was tempted to Photoshop the armpit, but I resisted. Even after all these years, I'm still trying to figure out what should be left in and what should be touched-up.

Maggie

She comes from a land down under... where women glow and men plunder.

Sofia & Cammy

One of my favorite 'tricks' are nudes that I can shape, contort, bend and light into abstract shapes. I love it when the viewer's eye must explore the shapes, highlights, and shadows... and barely notice the nudity. Nudity is just the canvas, secondary to the composition and impact of the photograph. I want the eye to dance around the image, exploring the tonalities and elegant lines of the image. Making the image B&W get's rid of the flesh tone, and completes the transformation...

Meira

She's got a leg, and she knows how to use it. Seriously, though– I really dig the unusualness of this shot.
